Three New England states have passed laws requiring insurers to help pay for infertility testing and treatment: Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island. However, such “mandated coverage” – as it’s called – varies from state to state, and in some non-mandated states, insurers may still voluntarily offer coverage despite not being required to do so.
