Interests and Fertility Treatment Philosophy
Dr. Glatstein’s clinical interests include polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), recurrent pregnancy loss, complex ovulation induction and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. Dedicated to respectful and friendly patient care, his approach to couples and individuals is to first maximize their intrinsic fertility potential by focusing on lifestyle, stress and environmental factors, as well as any concurrent medical or family issues which may impact on the ability to conceive and deliver a healthy child. Patient autonomy, self empowerment and choice are important aspects of his approach to care.
Dr. Glatstein is married with four children and enjoys his free time with his family. Together with his wife Gitelle, he is active in several local charitable causes. In addition, he is a sought after speaker on several college campuses where he gives seminars to students on the ethical, legal and medical aspects of Reproductive Medicine to assist them in career guidance. Dr. Glatstein sees patients in Lexington and Braintree, Massachusetts and offers convenient evening hours twice weekly to accommodate busy patient schedules. He is a recipient of the Patients' Choice Award and several Compassionate Doctor Awards.
Dr. Glatstein is a Harvard trained Board-Certified subspecialist in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. He is also Associate Medical Director and a Founding Partner at Reproductive Science Center of New England.
Dr. Glatstein received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, followed by a fellowship in Reproductive Medicine at the Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston. Before joining RSC New England, Dr. Glatstein spent a year as a Fulbright Research Scholar in Reproductive Medicine where he successfully completed several research projects in the field.
Dr Glatstein formerly served on the Executive Board of the New England Fertility Society, and is an active member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the Massachusetts Medical Society. He has lectured, conducted research and been published in the areas of infertility, assisted reproduction, and in vitro fertilization (IVF) and has authored several prize-winning publications.
