Infertility Counseling Team
The infertility counseling team at RSC New England includes experienced professionals available to offer support, advice, and guidance through the fertility treatment process.
We understand that the infertility evaluation and treatment process can be stressful. Some have said that it feels like “an emotional roller coaster.” Infertility can affect many aspects of one’s life, including work, friendships, and marriage. It can contribute to feelings of low self-esteem and leave people feeling out of control of their lives, out of step with the rest of the world, and alone with their sadness.
Reproductive Science Center of New England includes two experienced counseling professionals on our clinical team. Our counselors are available to offer support, advice, and guidance through this potentially difficult process.
RSC New England counselors also provide clinical interviews and personality assessment for prospective egg donors.
Adele Kauffman, Ph.D., (right) is a clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience with individuals and families. She has worked extensively in the area of infertility, assisted reproduction, and gamete donation. She has been at the Reproductive Science Center since it first opened in 1988. Dr. Kauffman also has a private practice in Newton, MA.
Susan Levin, LICSW, (left) is a clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience working with groups, couples, and individuals. She has extensive experience in the area of infertility, Assisted Reproductive Technologies, and third-party parenting. Her publications include medical texts, specialty journals, and published workshops on ovum donation. Ms. Levin also has a private practice in Newton, MA.
After treatment, while you're waiting for your pregnancy test, can be particularly stressful. This is a great time to see an RSC Counselor. Watch Patient Video about "Two Weeks Waiting"
